Kristin Ratliff - Having also grown up in the family jewelry business, Kristin found herself right back at home, working with her parents Betsy and Lamar, after graduating from Mississippi State University in 2008. Following graduation, she attended GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and studied Jewelry Design. She has earned her Graduate Diamonds and Graduate Pearls from the Gemological Institute of America. She is currently enrolled in classes finishing up her gemology degree.
Lamar Murrell - Lamar has been in the jewelry world since birth. He grew up in the family jewelry store, Murrell Jewelers, in Amite Louisiana. Throughout his life Lamar worked in the family business as well as other jewelry stores while in college and early in his married life. In July 1985, Lamar and Betsy purchased Selman's Jewelers and made McComb their home. He is a Certified American Gem Society Appraiser and a Gemological Institute of America Graduate Gemologist.
Betsy Murrell - Betsy is a superwoman! She is devoted to her family (especially tentative to her grands!) and her community. She has devoted much of her life to serving those in need. Betsy is our bookkeeper and helps run day-to-day operations. She is also a wonderful salesperson.
Chris Richardson - Chris started in the jewelry industry in 1975. He is an incredible bench jeweler and has been a dedicated employee of Selman's for over 20 years. Chris excels in jewelry repair, jewelry manufacturing, stone setting, and much more!
Kristina Smith - Kristina started her tenure at Selman's at 15. She is a beloved employee and is loved by our customers. She is studying gemological courses with the Gemological Institute of America.
Madisen Winters - Madisen is a student at Southwest Mississippi Community College and has been a great salesperson for Selman's since 2018.
